The beautiful porcelain vase was designed by the famous Italian artist and architect Gio Ponti when he was creative director of the Ginori 1735 brand between 1923 and 1933. It is oneof hismost famousworks. The name reveals its architectural background, as does the row of small vases that occupy the cells and the perspective created by the cells themselves, which makes it impossible to view the object from just one angle.
The model presented here is smaller than the one designed by Ponti: his model with the raised squares was produced from 1923 onwards, while this type of decoration dates back to 1925. Ginori 1735 presents this porcelain vase with the illusionistic effect of the relief and decoration applied as a decal.
