In 1922, Bernard-Albin Gras designed a series of lamps for offices and industry that set new standards with their simple, robust, and ergonomic design. Without screws or welds, they were revolutionary and went into production in 1927 by the Ravel company.

Gras was considered one of the most innovative designers of the 20th century. His lamps combined functionality and aesthetics with original details that were far ahead of their time. Le Corbusier was an enthusiastic fan and used the lamps in his projects worldwide. Artists such as Sonia Delaunay and Georges Braque also worked with the iconic lamps in their studios.

Today, La Lampe GRAS lamps are sought-after collector's items worldwide, especially in France, the US, and Japan. Bernard-Albin Gras' visionary designs have retained their timeless status.
